Challenge
About 12 years ago, we designed India's first all plastic geyser called Columbia for Symphony. This changed the market paradigm from ugly, cylindrical, metallic geysers to sleek, well finished plastic ones. Sauna was an excellent opportunity to design something that was the next generation and set a new trend, also for Symphony.

Elephant's solution
Following our basic principle of understanding user needs & expectations, our teams shadowed, observed & interviewed users to arrive at various insights. As bathroom design is evolving into a style statement, users expected bathroom fittings & gadgets to not only match the décor, but enhance it. Apart from a number of unique and safe user-friendly features, Sauna comes with a very stylish, bright coloured control panel fitted over a white body. This panel comes in a range of colours developed to suit the commonly found bathroom colour schemes. This not only maintains the carefully planned colour scheme, but also enhances the bathroom style. The user benefits by a temperature control knob which helps the exact nature (temperature) of water desired while reducing electrical consumption
This project involved naming and branding as well. A very apt name 'Sauna' was given by Elephant and an equally effective brand identity was also developed for the water heater.

Results
Suana was launched in the market in July 2005 and continues to retail across the country.
