Project Overview

LG Electronics, a global progressive consumer durable company wanted to infuse & nurture a culture of problem solving through creative & innovative ways.
LG India invited Elephant Team to create an ambience at their facility that would build,  encourage & enhance a culture of sharing ideas. General objective was to help LG teams come up with differentiated, innovative solutions for everything they do.

Challenge

Innovation is not a one-time activity. A conventional meeting room / board room platform had to be turned on its head to be able to achieve a mindset change. Team Elephant faced the challenge to create a space which will encourage free flow of ideas at the same time incorporate values of LG electronics. The challenge was also to create a space which will inspire employees to think differently & generate Innovative concepts.   

Solution

Team Elephant’s solution was to create a space based upon the theme of Infinity or  Anant’(Infinity in Hindi). The objective was to create an inspiring space that would evoke infinite ideas out of an individual. The concept of ‘Infinity’ metaphorically illuminates and links together positive associations relevant to  INNOVATION,  such as the notion of having  ‘limitless possibilities’,  ‘unlimited ideas’,  ‘boundless energy’,  ‘freedom of thought ,expression’, ‘freedom to co-create’ and to ultimately provide the fertile mindscape necessary to cause seeds of innovation to germinate and grow.  Some of the key elements that were infused in the space included entry from a dark sound tunnel into a white space,  variety of movable seating arrangement,  two walls with full height  pin up boards & white boards, giant  infinity symbol on the floor as well  as in the ceiling, mood lighting change control, etc.

Result

The result was a space immersing employees in completely different & enlivening environment, a space which allows one to relax, challenge existing thought processes and foster personal growth. Space that CALM senses and brings the inner child out to PLAY again.  The theme of Infinity or Anant for the innovation room simulated an unusual world of things that the mind starts being alert and inquiring.
