Creative Director - Industrial and User Experience Design
A postgraduate in Industrial Design from IIT Delhi, Swapnil completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pune. Prior to his Masters, he has worked with the Engineering & Industrial Services (EIS) vertical of a leading IT giant providing engineering design support to worldwide clients from various domains like semiconductor, automotive and appliances. Swapnil is certified as Associate Value Specialist, from Society of American Value Engineers (SAVE)
Before joining Elephant, Swapnil has worked with some large Indian conglomerates designing and developing products from various industry segments like Home appliances, Domestic, Commercial & Industrial Luminaires, Ceiling & TPW Fans, Water heaters, Switchgear and Inverters.
At Elephant, Swapnil heads a team of Product & UI UX Designers, Engineers and Model Makers. He has worked with established brands like Symphony Coolers, Tata Chemicals, Tata Industries, Future Group, Asian Paints, MTR, Jubiliant Foodworks, Titan as well as start-ups with variety of backgrounds. His experience in designing and developing Physical & Digital products spans across Healthcare, Automotive, FMCG, Home Appliances, IoT Products & Educational Toys domains.
Swapnil was a part of the National Executive Council (NEC) of Association of Designers of India (ADI) for 2 years and has been invited to teach and speak at design institutions like Kerala State Institute of Design (KSID), NIT Rourkela, DY Patil University, etc.
With around one & half decade’s experience in Industrial Design, User Experience Design and Engineering, Swapnil believes that every experience however good or bad teaches us and helps in our growth. While he enjoys reading books and writing poems, Cooking & Football are his prime interests.
